Ask a Librarian Service

Ask a Librarian is a Danish national service, in Danish called Biblioteksvagten, to help you find answers to concrete questions. The service is in Danish, but you can type your question in English and they will reply to you in English.

Every weekday, you can get answers to factual questions, tips to your search strategy, references to books, articles, digital services and a lot more.

Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

You can also find Biblioteksvagten on Facebook and Twitter.

On Twitter, Biblioteksvagten has their own hashtag, #bibsvar. If you write a tweet and add the hashtag #bibsvar, Biblioteksvagten will try to answer any question you can think of.

Biblioteksvagten has a profile on Instagram as well, where you can follow the life in the Danish libraries. You can send pictures to @bibvagt and ask "What is this?"

Biblioteksvagten will do their best to answer you within 24 hours.

Biblioteksvagten does not provide comprehensive searches for literature, and subject queries cannot be fully answered.
